E-Qura'n Tahfiez Project courses
Here are the programs that we have and they revolve around the perfection of the Qur'an recitation, memorization, and revision.
Level One – Tenderfoot (S100)
Students in this class are expected to cover Juz Mulk (Part 29) to An-Naas (Part 30) at a reasonable pace convenient for all group members. The class emphasizes elements of Tajwid and pronunciation in practice rather than theory. Students in this class are expected to master Arabic alphabets and vowels with little difficulty in reading.
Level Two – Transitional Class (S200)
Students in this class will in shaa ALLAAH memorize Juz Ahqaaf (Part 26) to An-Naas (Part 30) at a reasonable pace convenient for all the students in this class. The class will expand the concepts of Tajwid in theory and practice without necessarily enforcing the need to memorize treatises or codes. The meanings of memorized verses are described to students with the intention to internalize what is being memorized. Members of this class are expected to be able to read any part of the Qur’an at ease.
Level Three – Intermediate Class (S300)
Students in this class will in shaa ALLAAH memorize from Surah Luqman (Part 21) to An-Naas (Part 30) at a reasonable pace convenient for all the students in this class. The class will elaborate notions of Tajwid in theory and practice with moderate attempt to memorize and codify rules of Tajwid. The meanings of memorized verses are also described to students with the intention to internalize the message of the Quran. Members of this class are expected to be able to read any part of the Qur’an at ease, with clarity and with Tajwid.
Level Four – Advanced Class (S400)
Students in this class will in shaa ALLAAHmemorizefrom Surah Al-Kahf (Part 16) to An-Naas (Part 30) at a fair pace justified for all the students in this class. The class will elaboratepoems of Tajwid in theory and practice with an attempt to memorize and codify rules of Tajwid, Tarteel and Talqeen. The meanings of memorized verses are also emphasized to students and required of them during the memorization process. Members of this class are expected to be able to teach lower classes at ease, with clarity and with Tajwid.
Level Five – Senior Class (S500)
Students in this class will in shaa ALLAAH memorize from Surah Al-Baqarah (Part 1) to An-Naas (Part 30) at a fair pace justified for all the students in this class. This class will inculcate a review schedule of other parts that have been memorized until the whole Qur’an is memorized the first time. A clear understanding of Tajwid rules and memorization of half of the Qur’an is required to be at this level. The meanings of memorized verses are emphasized to students and required of them during the memorization process. Members of this class are expected to be able to teach lower classes at ease, with clarity, and with Tajwid.
Level Six – Revision Class (S600)
Students in this class will review the entire Qur’an at least 10 times with the teacher at a fair pace justified for all the students in this class. Students in this class will memorize rules of Tajwid in theory and practice through carefully selected Treatises or Poems like Muqaddimah Al-Jazariyyah. The meanings of memorized verses should be clear to students. Members of this class are expected to be able to teach all other classes at ease, with clarity and with Tajwid. Graduates from this class would be certified with Ijazah only based on merit; and will in shaa ALLAAH be qualified to teach others.
Sisters’ only Program
This program was established with a clear understanding of the peculiarities involved in a Sister’s program. Muslimahs are tutored by competent female instructors who have strong proficiency, and experience in delivering Qur’an instructions for recitation and memorization. This program certainly fashions in and respects the Islamic laws and codes of conduct pertaining to females,
Khuluqun-’Adheem (Summer 2022)
